Halloween happenings in Morris County

There are many Halloween related events happening around the county over the next couple of days. The following are some of them:

ROXBURY

Roxbury High School will host “Halloween at R-R-Roxbury” on Thursday at the high school’s turf field, located at 1 Bryant Dr. in Succasunna.

Set-up time begins at 5:15 p.m., followed by Trick-or-Treating from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Bring your decorated table or chair and candy for some trick-or-treating fun with your angel or ghoul.

MORRIS TWP.

Trick-or-Treating at the shops on Speedwell Avenue in Morris Township from 3-5 p.m. on Friday.

Participating shops will display a flyer in their window.

MORRISTOWN

The Morristown Armory Antiques Show is hosting a “Hauting Spirits Preview Party” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Guests will enjoy wine and beer tastings, delicious food, strolling musicians and a raffle. There are over 100 booths selling American, European and Asian furniture, silver, paintings, prints, posters, art, pottery and more.

White Orchid Appraisals will do free appraisals, up to two items.

The Morristown Armory is located at 430 Western Ave.

MORRISTOWN

Mennen Sports Arena will host “Friday Night Skate with DJ Earl” from 8-10 p.m. on Friday.

DJ Earl will be playing the newest hits and some throw-backs under the psychedelic lights. Requests are always welcome. Gather your friends and meet for ice skating, arcade games and yummy treats from the snack bar.

Cost is $7 for admission and $3.50 for ice skate rentals.

Mennen Sports Arena has three ice surfaces and offers one of the largest Learn-To-Skate programs in the nation, taught by former Olympians. Hockey and figure skating clinics, and summer camps are offered annually, along with public skate sessions throughout the year.
