At about 7:12 p.m. Saturday, Hackettstown Police and Hackettstown Rescue Squad responded to the intersection of Bells Lane and Route 182 for a report of a car crash involving a pedestrian, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

Through an investigation, police determined that Philip Baguley, 51, of Blairstown was traveling in a 2005 Subaru and made a left turn onto Bells Lane from Route 182, Tynan said.

As Baguley made the turn, Ramon Incera, 70, of Hackettstown crossed in front of the Subaru and was hit by the car, Tynan said.

Incera was not in a marked crosswalk when he was hit and Baguley never saw him until the crash, Tynan said.

No summonses were issued as a result of the crash.

St Clare’s Medic Unit and Atlantic Air-1 assisted on scene.
