Children’s Easter egg hunt at mall Sunday

Simon’s Rockaway Townsquare will hold a Kidgits Easter Egg Hunt 9-10 a.m., Sunday, March 13.

ROCKAWAY TWP. — Simon’s Rockaway Townsquare will hold a Kidgits Easter Egg Hunt 9-10 a.m., Sunday, March 13.

At 9 a.m., children will meet at Center Court where they will be given festive pails to participate in the hunt, according to a press release from the mall, which said that eggs containing fun-filled prizes will be scattered all over the mall for the children to find, including several golden eggs with extra special prizes inside.

Afterwards, children can participate in an Easter craft and coloring station. At the conclusion of the event, the Easter Bunny will be available to take photos with varying options of photo packages, the release said.

Author to lead discussion about Passaic River

MENDHAM TWP. — The Mendham Township Library will host a discussion about the Passaic River 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the library, located at 2 West Main St.

Mary Bruno, author of “An American River from Paradise to Superfund, Afloat on New Jersey’s Passaic” will lead a book talk and discussion.

Morristown town council meets Tuesday

MORRISTOWN — The Town Council is scheduled to meet on Tuesday at town hall, 200 South St.

The meeting will start with an executive session at 7 p.m. before the regular meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.

Among the items on the agenda are a “matter concerning the proposed Developer’s Agreement regarding 30 Court Street, a presentation by representatives of the Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, on the status of the Town’s drinking water in light of events that occurred earlier this year in Flint, Michigan (a question and answer period shall follow).

“Living on the Porch” program in Mount Tabor

PARSIPPANY — The Bethel in the Mount Tabor section of the township will host “Living on the Porch: the Social Space of Mount Tabor and Ocean Grove Porches” program 7:30-9 p.m. Thursday, March 10.

The program will be presented by Mount Tabor resident and MTHS member, Shauna Canter, and will include views of Mount Tabor porches, both current and historic.

Participants can learn strategies to create a welcoming space with decorative and garden embellishments and will share porch experiences through stories and photos of life on the porch.

Refreshments will be served at 7 p.m.

College hosts career fair Wednesday

HACKETTSTOWN — The Career Center at Centenary College will host a Career Fair 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the David and Carol Lackland Center at the college.

More than 50 local, regional and national employers are planning to attend, according to a press release from Centenary, which said that some of the participating employers include Merck, Nordstrom, ADP, Fastenal, IRS, New Jersey Judiciary and Peace Corps.
