Jersey Sports Rant will preview Eagles on Thursday

A shortened week of NFL previews concludes on the Jersey Sports Rant with Joey Wahler when attention turns to the Eagles on Thursday.

Gannett beat writer reporter Martin Frank will call into the new online sports talk show on Thursday to preview the Philadelphia team’s season, which begins by hosting Jacksonville at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Other guests will include NJSIAA executive director Steve Timko, who will be on hand to discuss the high school athletic seasons beginning around the state this week. Finally, Rutgers beat writer Ryan Dunleavy will once again join the show to break down the Scarlet Knights’ matchup against Howard on Saturday.

The Jersey Sports Rant with Joey Wahler debuted two weeks ago with a focus on the Garden State sports scene. Wednesday’s guests included Red Bank Catholic high school football coach Jim Portela and player Mike DeMonte, Giants Radio Network reporter John Schmeelk and Toms River native and AVP volleyball player Ryan Doherty.
