Senior Morgan Pearson (New Vernon/Delbarton) finished 25th (30:16.1) as Colorado placed second at the NCAA Division I Championships in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday.

Wake Forest senior Samantha Jones (Randolph) capped her collegiate cross country career with a 34th-place finish (20:22.5) in a 254-runner field, earning All-American status. Jones' finish was the best by a Demon Deacon at the NCAA Championships since '06. Junior Emily Bushey (Vernon) finished 179th (21:25) and scored as Providence placed fourth as a team.

Senior Alyssa Brindle (Morris Knolls) was Allegheny's second finisher at the NCAA Division III Championships at Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She crossed in 22:48.51, breaking the 23-minute mark for the fourth time in six races.

LaSalle junior Steven Lewandowski placed 16th (25:54.4) at the IC4A/ECAC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Saturday.

Richmond senior Tara Hanley (Chatham) was named to the Atlantic-10 cross country All-Academic team. A philosophy, politics, economics and law major with a concentration in politics, she has a 3.27 GPA. She had three top six finishes and was Richmond’s top finisher in three of its six races this fall.

Men's soccer

Ohio Wesleyan senior striker Brian Schaefer (Chatham) has been named a CoSIDA Division III second-team academic All-American. He had 15 goals and a North Coast Athletic Conference leading 15 assists this season, sharing the NCAC lead with 41 points. He is majoring in accounting and with a minor in management economics.

Harvard senior striker Michael Innocenzi (Delbarton) was named honorable mention All-Ivy. He had five goals, fourth in the Ivy League.

Men's basketball

Danny Weiss (Montville) scored 20 points to lead Susquehanna to a 92-60 win over King's in the championship game of SU's annual Pepsi Tip-Off Tournament.

Ryan Kelley (Roxbury) scored 14 points in Arcadia's 90-87 double overtime win over Old Westbury.

Ithaca's Carroll Rich (Morris Knolls) scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds in the team's 93-68 win over Cobleskill.

Junior Patrick Barron (West Morris) scored 25 points in Stevens' 118-100 win over Drew.

Sophomore Rashaan Spencer (Mount Olive) finished with 18 points and five rebounds in Centenary's 80-66 loss to Swarthmore.

Junior Zack Frick (Sparta) scored 10 points for William Paterson in its 80-66 loss to Brooklyn.

Women's basketball

Sophomore Aliyah Huland El (Randolph) notched her second-straight 20-point performance in Virginia's 81-46 win over Longwood.

Liz Malman (Mendham) scored a game-high 18 points to go along with five rebounds, three assists, and three steals to lead Connecticut College to a 85-34 win over Clark University.

Sophomore Anna Toke (Morris Catholic) had nine points in Stevens' 65-64 win over Guilford.

Liana Ilutzi (East Hanover) scored 10 points and had a game-high eight assists, but MIT fell to Heidelberg, 75-66.

Junior Heather Yaros (Hopatcong) had 10 points and four rebounds to help Centenary College to a 73-57 win over St. Joseph's (LI).

Samantha Tabakman (Pequannock) scored 17 points, grabbed five rebounds and had three steals in Rhode Island's 67-58 loss to Albany.

Amanda Berntsen (Chatham) had 10 points and five rebounds in Princeton's 71-64 loss to Seton Hall.

Sophomore Charlotte Schum (Morris Catholic) had 10 points in TCNJ's 66-48 loss to Montclair.

Junior Alana Dudley (Whippany Park) dished out seven assists in NJIT's63-50 loss to Marshall.

Sophomore Brielle Kelly (West Morris) led Mansfield with 11 points, but Edinboro defeated the Mountaineers 95-61.

Swimming

Drew freshman Mack Fox (Randolph) won the 500-yard freestyle (5:22.48) in a tri-meet loss on Saturday. Senior David Nadler (Randolph) and freshman Alexiy Stolyarov (Kittatinny) were part of FDU-Florham's winning 200 free relay.

Freshman Liza MacCowatt (New Vernon/Morristown-Beard) swam the breaststroke leg on Middlebury's winning 200 medley relay in a tri-meet split on Saturday.

Holy Cross sophomore Maura Mullaney (St. Elizabeth) scored points in all of her events – the 100 and 200 butterfly, 200 individual medley, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, and 200 free relay — earning personal best times in five of them, at the Harold Anderson Invitational.

Freshman Regan Kology (Chatham) won the 1,000 free (10:12.78) as Harvard toppled Columbia on Friday.

Senior Melissa Feeney (Morris Plains/St. Elizabeth) won the 100 breaststroke and swam the breaststroke leg of Lehigh's winning 400 medley relay in a dual-meet defeat of Lafayette on Friday.

Senior Jenna Immormino (Chester) won the 50 and 100 freestyle as Cornell fell to both Princeton and Penn on Friday.
