Snowed in? Here's some must-see sporting events on TV this week

Duke head coach Mike Kryzewski won his 1,000th game on Sunday, but has two tough games this week.

If all the forecasts are true, we are in for a rough couple of days of snow. So, instead of sitting around watching the snow fall or if you need a break from all that shoveling, here's a list of some sporting events that will help offer a break from the blizzard (Super Bowl is technically next week). NBA and NHL games are not listed due to likely postponements messing with the schedule:

Australian Open

Wednesday, 9:30 p.m. (ESPN): Women's semis

Thursday, 3:30 a.m. (ESPN): Men's semis

Saturday, 3 a.m. (ESPN): Women's championship

Sunday, 3 a.m. (ESPN): Men's championship

College Basketball

Monday, 7 p.m. (ESPN): No. 13 North Carolina hosts red-hot Syracuse in an important ACC game.

Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. (ESPN2): No. 4 Duke plays the first of its two key ACC games at No. 8 Notre Dame

Friday, 8 p.m. (ESPNU): A chance to catch the Hawks on TV as Monmouth travels to Fairfield.

Saturday, 7 p.m. (ESPN): Unbeaten No. 2 Virginia travels to Durham to take on rival No. 4 Duke.

NFL

Tuesday 9:30 a.m. (NFL Network): Media Day. You either love it or hate it, but it offers a nice break during a snow storm.

Saturday, 9 p.m. (NBC): NFL Honors Award Show. Find out who is taking home some new hardware.
