8 fun things to do in Morris County Valentine's Day weekend

Sunday is Valentine's Day, and there are lots of options for fun and romance this weekend in Morris, whether you're entwined or not. Naturally, we've listed local dining recommendations, but what could be more romantic than going to see an homage to Frank Sinatra? Or having a few laughs with Jersey boy Uncle Floyd to spice up the night? There's also blues, theater and art. Or go for it and leap in freezing Lake Hopatcong and earn some long, warming hugs.

2. Leap in Lake Hopatcong

Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge #782 is hosting its seventh annual "Leap in the Lake for Our Special Kids" 1 p.m. Saturday at Hopatcong State Park. There will be a post-Leap party from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with food, raffles, giveaways and music. A $50 tax deductible donation is required to leap and includes the after-party admission. Bring your date for a few laughs before or after a romantic dinner.  Paterson-born Uncle Floyd Vivino, American television, film, and stage performer primarily known for his comedy/variety TV show The Uncle Floyd Show, presents his take on Valentine’s Day. Kristen Brooks Sandler, a 2009 graduate of West Morris Mendham High School, is in the ensemble cast of the national touring company of the musical, based on the Biblical story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis. The multimedia exhibit of 100 items of contemporary Ukrainian art is now on its second stop in the U.S. after debuting at the United Nations last month.
