WAYNE – A pair of Morris County teens were caught on Route 23 over the weekend with bags of heroin named after popular pop-culture staples “The Godfather” and “Breaking Bad,” among others, Wayne police said.

The officers approached the driver — Liam Peto, 18, of Pequannock — who was unable to provide a valid New Jersey driver’s license. Police also observed drug paraphernalia debris in the car, Martin said.At about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, officers Joseph Rooney and Robert Fernandez conducted a motor-vehicle stop of a blue 2011 Subaru Outback that was seen driving on the emergency shoulder of Route 23 north during rush hour, Captain Laurence Martin said.

Peto was then searched and police found 15 glassine bags of suspected heroin stamped “The Godfather,” and two glassine bags of suspected heroin stamped “The King,” both in purple ink, Martin said.

Peto was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was issued a charge for possession of heroin and motor vehicle summonses for possession of heroin in a motor vehicle and improper passing. He was released pending a court appearance.

The following day at about 8:40 p.m., Fernandez and Rooney were patrolling the commercial properties on the northbound side of Route 23 when they saw a white Jeep Liberty driving without its headlights on and erratically changing lanes, Martin said.

The officers stopped the vehicle on the Pequannock border of Route 23 and identified the driver as Bari Nochimson, 19, of Riverdale, Martin said.

The officers observed Nochimson mumbling, breathing heavily, and acting nervous, as well as several pieces glassine bags on the floor board with various stamps, Martin said.

The stamps included one bag stamped “Team” in blue ink, one stamped “Flawless” in green, and two stamped “Breaking Bad” in red, Martin said.

Nochimson was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and issued motor vehicle summonses for possession of heroin in a motor vehicle, failure to maintain lanes and driving without headlights. She was released pending a court appearance.
