1 Thing We Love About Morris County; Stained glass

Morristown Daily Record

Gorgeous stained glass windows adorn the facade of the First Baptist Church of Morristown on Washington Street.  Seventeen members formed the Baptist Church at Morristown in the province of New Jersey in August 1752, and the church was officially incorporated as the First Baptist Church of Morristown in September 1912.
A massive fire in May 2000 destroyed the interior of the church but it was rebuilt, with a commitment to the Romanesque Revival architectural style and reproduction of stained glass windows as close as possible to the original designs.
