MORRIS PLAINS – The annual Rock n’ Roll Ball will be held Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Bands scheduled to perform at the outdoor concert include Audio Empire, Till Now, Subcommittee, Bubba Grouch, Eli, and Suitable for Transfer. The acts will play rock covers and original songs.

This year’s concert will benefit K9s for Warriors, which provides service dogs for veterans, and Community Hope, which provides housing and other services for veterans.

“Two great organizations to get behind,” said Dan Glenn, co-promoter for the event along with Joe Gorgolione

The concert starts at 1 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. at VFW Post 3401, 45 Tabor Road in Morris Plains.

Admission is $20, which is split evenly between the two charities.

The event is rain or shine and there will be tents ready in case of rain though the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with no chance of rain. Food will be for sale and there will also be prizes throughout the day courtesy of WHDA radio station 105.5.

This is the third year for the event, which is expected to triple in size after moving from a local restaurant. Attendance is limited to 600 people at the VFW so patrons are advised to arrive as early as possible.
