Roundup: Montville's O'Reilly reaches 1,500-point milestone

Senior Kelly O'Reilly scored 24 points to help the Montville girls basketball team to a 61-35 win over Caldwell on Thursday night.  O'Reilly reached the 1,500-point milestone in the game and is the all-time scoring leader in school history.

"At some point it will be nice to look back on," O'Reilly said.  "But right now I'm proud of the way we are playing."

The Mustangs are 10-3 on the season and tied with Chatham for second in the NJAC-United division, one game behind Morristown.

Morristown 62, Morris Knolls 36: Senior forward Abby Schubiger scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Elizabeth Strambi added 15 for Morristown (10-1).

Jefferson 45, Randolph 26: Taylor Langan led all scorers with 19 points for Jefferson. Falcons senior Julia Murawinski posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Morris Tech 51, Wallkill Valley 45: Taylor Rondanini scored a game-high 24 points, grabbed four rebounds, dished out two assists and collected seven steals for Morris Tech (7-4).

West Morris 44, Westfield 41: Maddie Selvaggi and senior Ilissa Webb combined for 29 points to lead the Wolfpack (11-2).

Boys basketball

Whippany Park 77, Montville 54: Whippany Park senior Ryan Gaynor scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Wildcats.  Robbie Madison contributed with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Mark Basista and Joe Michalewsky scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Whippany Park.  Alex Landis led Montville with 18 points. Senior Maxwell Carus added 14.

Hanover Park 54, Mendham 42: Senior John Crown scored 20 points, to go along with six rebounds, six assists, and four steals to lead Hanover Park.  Ryan Stolz led the Minutemen with 11 points.

Morris Hills 56, Parsippany Hills 43: Chris Caraballo scored 18 points for the Scarlet Knights (7-5).

Morristown 62, Livingston 32: Junior Kevin Hoehn scored a game-high 16 points, and Rohan Walker added 10 to guide the Colonials (7-5).

Pope John 59, Union 54: Aaron Clarke (16), Samba Diallo (12), Ruben Montilus (11), and Louis King (10) all scored double-digit points for the Lions.
