Police search for Rockaway chainsaw thief

ROCKAWAY - Police are searching for a man who broke into a Route 46 power tool and tractor store Wednesday and stole multiple chainsaws.

At about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, a man smashed the front window of Power Place on Route 46, entering the store and stealing two Stihl chainsaws and a Stihl demo saw, Rockaway Borough Police said.

The Power Place website lists the price of Stihl chainsaws between $300 and $500 each.

Police shared a surveillance photo of the suspect on their Facebook page at about 1 p.m. Thursday, asking followers to share the post to help them find the man.
