Morris County marching bands to compete at MetLife Stadium

Staff report

Marching bands from Roxbury, Parsippany, Mendham, Randolph and Mount Olive high schools will compete Saturday at Met Life Stadium during the 2015 Yamaha Cup.

The bands will be among more than 50 high school marching bands from New Jersey and states across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic competing in the event.

Roxbury, Parsippany and Mount Olive are all competing in the Group IV category while Mendham High School is in Group V and Randolph in Group VI.

Roxbury’s marching band was at Met Life Stadium for Super Bowl XLVIII where they participated in Bruno Mars Half Time Show. The Roxbury Gael’s were among just a small group of high school marching bands sought out to help perform the highly choreographed halftime show by Mars.

Tickets to the performance are available at the Met Life Stadium Box Office and are $30 for the day, and stadium parking is free. Performances are expected to take place all day long.
