Two former Morristown's Got Talent contestants have decided to team up and bring a slice of Nashville to the stage this February as a country music acoustic duo.

Emmi Long and Jordan Green, both students at the Original Music School in Morristown, will perform Sara Evans' country hit "Suds in the Bucket" – a vocal teacher's recommendation - at this year's Morristown's Got Talent.

"Right away we both knew it was the right choice," Long said.

Both Long, 14, and Green, 16, have been finalists before – Long has actually auditioned every year since the show began – and after positive experiences they were determined to make the cut again.

"Emmi and I both work really hard on our music," Green said. "We really love performing and are grateful for the opportunity to be part of Morristown's Got Talent."

If they win, the pair would split the $1,000 prize between some spending money, new equipment, and donations to HeartSongs for Veterans and the American Cancer Society.

"Jordan and I are very dedicated to our music and we spend almost all of our free time writing and working on songs," Long said. "It would be so awesome to win, but we are just so happy to be finalists and able to perform in the show."

Following the performance, they plan to create, release, and perform more music.

Both play shows locally with Jordan's band The Good E'Nuffs, in which Long contributes as a vocalist.

The two teens are building solid resumes and growing their reputations within the industry. Both have original music available online.
