CrimeStoppers: Alleged sex offender could be in Morris

Morris County CrimeStoppers has put out an alert for an alleged sex offender who may be in the area.

Edward William Tarras, 39, is wanted in LaVergne, Tenn., from which he fled after cutting his monitoring bracelet, according to CrimeStoppers. He was free on bail at the time.

Tarras was described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen by authorities with light brown hair and a light beard and mustache but he is known to keep his head and face shaved, according to CrimeStoppers.

A tip that leads to an arrest could mean a reward of up to $1,000, CrimeStoppers said.
