MITCHEL SANDERS

School: Randolph

Position: First Singles

Highlights: The senior finished his four-year career with 77 wins, all at first singles, and this year defended his Morris County Tournament title with a three-set victory over Yanik Parsch of Chatham while leading the Rams to their first MCT team championship. Sanders, who will attend The College of New Jersey in the fall, also advanced to the third round of the NJSIAA singles tournament.

PARKER PRIDGEN

School: Delbarton

Position: Second Singles

Highlights: The senior captain began the season at first singles, where he won 10 of 15 matches, before sliding down to second singles when Justin Wang joined the Green Wave lineup. He finished the season with an overall record of 22-9 and captured the Morris County Tournament second singles title with a straight-set victory over Mendham’s Kevin Samaan. He also posted key wins over Don Bosco Prep and Notre Dame to help Delbarton capture the Non-Public A crown.

ROBERT STEER

School: Delbarton

Position: Third Singles

Highlights: The sophomore was a key part of the Green Wave’s lineup, beginning the season at second singles where he fashioned an 8-5 record against top quality competition. He then moved down to third singles and captured the Morris County Tournament title with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 victory over Randolph freshman Brandon Luong. Steer was 22-10 and also recorded wins over Pingry (at second singles) and against Hillsborough at third singles.

COOPER SELIGSON/STEFAN LUONG

School: Randolph

Position: First Doubles

Highlights: The junior duo were rock solid all season, finishing the year with a 22-4 record while capturing the Morris County Tournament first doubles title with a straight-set victory over Chatham in the final after rallying for a three-set win over Mendham in the semifinals. The pair also earned a 9-16 seeding in the state doubles tournament, where they advanced to the second round.

School: Montville

Position: Second Doubles

Highlights: Fass, a junior, and Awertschenko, a sophomore, peaked at the Morris County Tournament where the pair captured the second doubles title. First, they defeated second seed Delbarton in three sets and then rallied for another three-set victory over Mendham in the final, winning the third set in a tiebreaker. For the year, the duo was 13-9 in helping the Mustangs to another successful season.
