Hanover police: Naked woman assaulted officers, EMTs

Staff report

HANOVER – A woman was charged with assaulting police officers and emergency medical technicians after they responded to a report about a naked woman at a Route 10 hotel.

Patrolman Peter Hermans responded to the parking lot of the Econolodge Hotel at 10:16 p.m. on Saturday after police got a report that a woman was running around naked, police said.

Hermans arrived at the hotel and found a woman, Allison Anderson, 45, of Maplewood, hanging out her first floor window and asking for help. Anderson, who was naked at the time, was asked to cover herself, which she did with a bed sheet, police said.

Patrolman David Littman arrived to assist and the officers convinced Anderson to go to the hospital due to her high level of intoxication, police said.

Anderson willing got onto a stretcher after an ambulance arrived to take her to the hospital but shortly after being placed in the ambulance, she became very combative and tried to get out, police said.

The two officers and a couple of first aid members tried to get Anderson to stay in the ambulance but she remained combative and was flailing around the ambulance.

Anderson tried to bite and kick one of the officers during the confrontation so she was informed that she was now under arrest, police said. She was charged with aggravated assault (on police officers), resisting arrest, aggravated assault (on emergency medical technicians), disorderly conduct and lewdness.

Anderson was brought to Morristown Medical Center for treatment and later given a court date before being released.
