Winning lottery ticket sold in Mount Olive
A $25,000 lottery ticket was sold in Morris County.
There were no jackpot or second place New Jersey prizewinners of the most recent Mega Millions game, but there were four third prize New Jersey winning tickets that match four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the Tuesday drawing, according to a press release from the Lottery.
All of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option making each ticket worth $25,000; without the option the tickets would be worth $5,000 each, the release said.
The $25,000 Morris County ticket was purchased at Dollar & Party World, 50 International Drive, Suite D1, in the Flanders section of Mount Olive, the release said.
Three other tickets worth the same amount were sold at:
Acme Markets, 260 Dunns Mill Road, Bordentown in Burlington County;
National Liquor Store Inc., 732 Broadway, Bayonne in Hudson County;
WAWA, 177 Route 34, Matawan in Monmouth County;
In addition, there were 66 players whose tickets matched the 4 white balls, making their tickets worth $500. Sixty-three of those players added the Megaplier Option to their tickets making each ticket worth $2,500. Moreover, 227,091 other New Jersey players took home $1,697,436 in prizes ranging from $1 to $250.
The Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $270,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held Friday at 11 p.m.
