Hundreds of customers turned out when the proud “dirt-diggers” of the Rockaway Valley Garden Club set up shop outside il Michelangelo(cq) Ristorante in Boonton. The club’s “Annual Plant Sale” offered flower baskets, potted arrangements of annuals, perennials and herbs, and other gifts for mom. The event has also developed a loyal following because it allows the public to buy over 30 varieties of native plants grown by club members in their own gardens — or in gardens they maintain throughout the community.
