LONG HILL TWP. – Area homebrewers will unite this weekend at the Stirling Hotel in Long Hill Twp. and the public is invited to join them to for Big Brew Day.

The annual event, a celebration in conjunction with Monday’s National Homebrew Day, brings together two local brewing clubs, the Morris Area Society of Homebrewers (MASH) and the Sussex County United Brewers and Alchemists (SCUBA).

Members from both groups will set up in the Stirling Hotel beer garden and begin brewing at 9 a.m. Saturday, hanging out until 3 p.m.

All are welcome to come and brew with MASH and SCUBA, and recipes for National Homebrewers Conference Award Winning beers — including a pale ale, a barelywine, and a klosch — are available online at http://www.homebrewersassociation.org.

People are invited to stop by and celebrate with the homebrew community and to ask questions during the event.

Club members will be available to teach novice brewers how to brew and how to set up their own homebrew system.

There will be tents outside in the beer garden for shade, and the Stirling Hotel restaurant will open for lunch at 11:30 a.m. The menu also includes a curated craft beer list available in the beer garden.

The event is rain or shine and attendees can email scubabrewclub@gmail.com with any questions.
