Battlefest Nation knows they have the talent, and they hope a showcase like Morristown’s Got Talent will help them bring their unique brand of dance to a larger audience.

Tahrod Smith, 23, an ambulance driver in town who performs with his friend Jovan Douglas, 24, are prepared to show off a one-of-a-kind performance for the audience.

The duo of “dance illusionists” have been practicing for 11 years, developing inspiration from artists including Michael Jackson.

They developed their Morristown’s Got Talent routine through trial and error and have confidence that their choreography will set them apart from the pack.

“I’m walking by faith not by sight,” Smith said.

The pair know their hard work will show off in their performance and feel they have a good shot at winning. If they do, Smith said he plans to by schoolbooks for his brother.
