Assemblywoman gets new job, will leave Legislature

FRANKLIN – A longtime member of the New Jersey Assembly is planning to leave the Legislature.

The New Jersey Herald reports that Alison Littell McHose announced her intentions Thursday, the same day she was named the new business administrator for Franklin Borough.

A Republican who has served in the Assembly since 2003, the 49-year-old McHose said she will resign her seat "at some point" but did not give a specific date. She represents the 24th district, which primarily serves Sussex County but includes parts of Morris and Warren counties.

Her father, Robert Littell, served in the both the Assembly and the state Senate, serving 40 years overall in the Legislature. He died last November.
