Parsippany police release name of man who died in crash

PARSIPPANY – Police on Monday released the names of the two people involved in fatal accident that occured on Route 46 on Dec. 12.

The 80-year-old man who died in the two-car crash was James Crisafulli from Parsippany, according to police, who said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second motorist was identified as Areeba Shariq, 27, and also from Parsippany. She was taken to Morristown Medical Center for abdominal and chest pain after the accident, police said.

The crash, which occurred at 6:10 p.m. near Vail Road on Route 46, remains under investigation. Police said they would not be releassing any more information about it at this time.
